French Baguette: Review
I got this French baguettes recipe from The Food Network’s website, and they do take an awful long time to make (we’re talking an entire day dedicated to bread.) If you really want to get picky about it, you can make the process more tedious for yourself by misting both the bread and the sides of the oven during the first five minutes or so of cooking time, like the original recipe states. I didn’t go that far, and I still found that these baguettes were delicious and airy. And even though they might take a long time to make, you do end up with three loaves out of the deal, so you can always put some in your freezer for next time. Just don’t forget to put a paper towel in the bag when you do that – it will absorb the moisture when the bread thaws out!
