I honestly don’t know where I got this original recipe because by the time it made it to the bowl it sits in for the picture, it had been three years since I had made it. That was the very first time I cooked my own Turkey Dinner for my small little family of three and because it was also the same time I picked up canning, I made a whack of it and canned it. So, when I hosted Turkey Dinner for my extended family this year, all I had to do was toss a jar in the fridge overnight so it could be chilled and it was ready to serve!
For those who like homemade cranberry sauce, this one is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. It tastes like a simple and classic cranberry sauce but the spices give it that little something extra. My mother-in-law was actually the one who reminded me that it had cloves in it. I didn’t realize that wasn’t the norm until I went back and looked at some recipes. So for that reason alone, I would say that this is a good holiday recipe to make over and over again (or just all at once and then keep it stored well for a few years.)
