Perfectly Glazed Ham

1 fully cooked half ham (not a country ham) $15.99
1 cup water
1 cup lime pineapple jam $2.70
3/4 cup brown sugar $0.15
1 cup Dijon mustard $1.16
2 tablespoons cider vinegar $0.18
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce $0.16

Total Cost    $20.34

1.) Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse and fully dry the ham.

2.) Trim the skin, leaving the fat intact. Score the fat in a crosshatch pattern, making the cuts about 3/4 inches deep and 1 inch apart. Put the ham flat-side down on a rack in a roasting pan; add 1 cup of water. Bake on lowest oven rack, 40 minutes, adding more water if the pan gets dry.

3.) Meanwhile, make the glaze: Whisk 1 cup lime pineapple jam with 3.4 cup brown sugar, 1 cup Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons cider vinegar, and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. Brush the ham with half the glaze, cover loosely with foil and bake 45 minutes.

4.) Brush with the remaining glaze and bake, uncovered, until the glaze is browned, 40 to 50 minutes more.

5.) Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes before carving.

6.) Serve and enjoy!
