Hell’s Kitchen Potatoes – Take One

6 medium russet potatoes, sliced into 1/2″ rounds $1.26
Salt $0.01
Pepper $0.01
3 tablespoons olive oil $0.09
Chives, for garnish $0.50

Total Cost $1.87
Cost per serving $0.29

1.) Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

2.) Add potato rounds and cook for about 1-2 minutes. With a slotted spoon, remove potatoes and lay on paper towels to drain.

3.) Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season potatoes generously with salt and pepper and once oil is hot, add to pan. Cook for 3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.

4.) Remove from pan and drain on paper towel.

5.) Plate, serve and enjoy!
