Cooking Glossary: G

Garlic – An ingredient in just about all of my cooking, you can use this vegetable that’s a member of the onion family in just about any savoury dish. It comes in powdered, fresh, diced, and pureed form. There are as many ways garlic is sold as there are to use it!

Glaze – Glazing food requires a liquid to be brushed over it so that it looks shiny.

Gorgonzola – This Italian cheese is made from cow’s milk and although it has a pale colour, blue veins run throughout it.
